LET IT BREATHE.
Clean, free-flowing air is as critical to your engine's performance
as the
octane of your fuel. Reduce the restrictions in your intake system,
and you'll increase the output of your engine. Green High Performance
Air Filters are engineered to maximize air flow while trapping harmful
dirt particles. The result of this race-proven technology is increased
horsepower, improved throttle response, better fuel mileage, and greater
torque throughout your engine's rpm range.

Green High Performance Air filter started
nearly a decade ago designing filters for the motor sport industry
in Europe. Staying committed to producing the highest quality
filters available, Green is used by a number of top race teams
(Peugeot Sport:World Rally Champions, Oreca Dodge Viper race
team, Honda Europe, BMW Formula).
The experience and expertise gained from supplying these sports
teams quickly promoted the company to becoming Europe's largest
performance air filter manufacturer. Since 2000 the prestigious
EAQF manufacturing standard was awarded to Green Filter for
their consistently high quality manufacturing processes.
Green's production technology is always improving with the most
cutting edge processes and equipment. Also being committed to
servicing our customers Green's range of filters is constantly
expanding. We stand by our guarantee of providing customers
with what we think is the best filtering technology available. |
Because of its unique properties and organic composition, cotton is
the ideal material for use in high performance air filters. But beyond
the mere use of the material, Green High Performance Air Filters are
uniquely designed, engineered, and manufactured to take full advantage
of cotton's capabilities. Unlike multi-layer gauze filters which can
fray and release fiber particles into your engine, Green uses 2 layers
of tightly-interwoven cotton fabric. Cross-weaving one fine, and one
medium layer, produces a fabric that is thinner and stronger than
other materials,
while maintaining the ability to trap harmful dirt particles as small
as 5 microns. The result is better airflow without sacrificing filtration.
And because the fabric is so durable, it can be washed
DROP IT IN. FIRE IT UP.
Green High Performance Air Filters come pre-oiled, so they're ready
to use right out of the box. Pop open your air filter box, remove
your stock filter and drop in a Green High Performance Air Filter. You
simply can't perform a simpler, less expensive upgrade that yields
as much improvement in engine performance.**
BETTER FUEL MILEAGE
Increased air flow to your cylinders results in a more potent air/fuel
mixture. In addition to the performance enhancements Green Air Filters
offer, you'll also reap the benefits of increased fuel mileage.
INCREASED
HORSEPOWER
Dynamometer bench testing on a 1800cc 4 cylinder engine showed that
a Green High Performance Air Filter provided a 6.7% increase in horsepower
over the same vehicle with a stock paper air filter.
GREATER AIR FLOW
In a side-by-side test bench comparison, Green High Performance Air
Filters allowed
greater air flow through its filtering surface than paper filters.

GREATER FILTERING CAPABILITY
PEAK TEST AT 5500 RPMS Green Filters stop particles as small as 5
microns.
Cotton Most cotton filters now are using 4 layers of cotton
gauze. This material is good for filtering but the draw back to using
it is that it is similar to a gauze bandage. Holes can be warn though
the gauze, from cleaning & general everyday ware. Also
little pieces of the warn cotton can be drawn into the engine from
the intake
pressure. Green Filters use 2 layers of woven cotton (like an oxford
shirt). There are 3 main benefits to woven cotton, its: thinner, hold
oil better, and is stronger. Being thinner the benefit is a little
better flow of air but with out sacrificing the filtration. (Green
still filters to 5 microns). Because Green is like an oxford-shirt,
it holds the oil more evenly. Gauze is more sponge like so th oil
can be pulled out by engine intake
press, but with Green's woven cotton you don't have this problem.
The other benefit
of woven cotton is that the cotton medium is stronger. Unlike a gauze
bandage you
cannot ware a hole though an oxford-shirt just by rubbing it. One
other important
benefit of the cotton being woven (like an oxford-shirt) is there
is no way for the
small bits of cotton to be pulled into the engine because the cotton
is inter-locked
with another piece. The biggest benefit for our woven design is that
the filter can be cleaned many more times. That is why we can offer
a lifetime guarantee.
Pleats
Green Filter's pleat design gives the filter a number of benefits.
Something as simple as the direction of the pleat is important. With
a Green filter all of our pleats are parallel to the width. This makes
the filter more rigid so it is stronger. This also helps with air
leaks around the seal. Since the filter is more rigid, the edges around
the rubber will tend to stay sealed to the air-box. If the filter
was more flexible, it could cave in due to engine intake pressure.
This would allow dirty air to leak into the gap made between the seal
and air-box, which defeats the purpose of having an air filter. Another
benefit with the pleats being arranged this way is that we are able
to fit more pleats on the filter. If the rubber is cut off the filter
(all you have left is the cotton and mesh), you can stretch the filter
out and you would have a larger piece of cotton than most filters.
The more surface area you have the more air you can pass though the
filter and into you engine to create more power. Rubber molding around
the Seal Green Filter is on the cutting edge with rubber seal molding
design. Most other cotton filters have used a process of pressure
mold injecting. This process is good and saves time but the draw back
is that a large percentage of the rubber leaks onto the cotton filtering
surface area. So at times up to 20 - 25% of flowing surface area is
blocked by spill over rubber. This is especially important on the
smaller filters because if a 1/4" is blocked around the sides
of a filter (and the filter is only 4
or 5 inches long), then about 25% of the surface area is lost. Green
filter has taken a different approach with the rubber moldings of
our filters. We use a four step process. It takes a lot more time
and cost more to do but is worth it. Green filter's
moldings are almost exact around the edges with no wasted surface
area. Using
this more efficient process the air flow is greater than the same
size filter that is mold injected.
Custom Fitment Tabs Green Filter has
developed a unique filter fitment design. Included with our filter,
we have designed a two stage trimmable tab molded into the rubber
seal to custom fit the filters to a brand new air-box or one that
been slightly damaged. Air-boxes are plastic and can warp out of shape
or even melt from the heat in the engine compartment. These tabs also
benefit the filter by centering and aligning it in the airbox, so
the filter is evenly sealed.
Economical A paper filter should be
replaced between 4,000 to 5,000 miles or every oil change. The average
cost of a paper filter is about $10 to $12. After one year of driving
15,000 miles, at least 3 paper filters are needed. This totals about
$30 - $35. After one to two years, a Lifetime Green Filter is already
paid for. This benefit is for
everyone - a daily driver, an older vehicle or someone looking for
the best performance.

Superior Filtration Green High Performance Air Filters are
a lifetime filter designed to be oiled. The oil creates a positive
(+) magnetic charge with the mesh, which attracts the negatively (-)
charged dust particles. The dust and dirt builds around the mesh to
form a tunnel. This allows the cotton to remain cleaner for maximum
flow. Hardware With most filters they are using chrome for the end
cap of there filter. Although they look nice, they do not last as
long. For all Green filter hardware we use Polished Stainless Steel.
It has the same high shine and custom look with no maintenance and
a long life.
Green Filter vs. the common cotton filter.
There are a number of differences between the Green design and the
design of other filters.
* The Aluminum Housing acts as a heat shield
* Venture on the top of the filter to speed the air up and remove
the turbulence
* The dirt and dust is gathered on the inside of the shield for easy
cleaning
* Bottom aluminum mount is equipped with a velocity stack to ram the
air into the throttle body |
